  • All Tiger Industrial TRLH lever hoists are manufactured from the highest quality materials precisely machined, thus producing strong products with high resistance to impact damage. The hoists are finished in a high quality powder coat paint offering excellent corrosion protection. This all ensures they are ideal hoists for long-term use with less maintenance and servicing costs. The strong impact resistant gearbox housing, complete with close tolerance fit bearings that fully support the pinion shaft and planet gears, maintains smooth revolutions whilst under load. High gear ratios keep physical effort to a minimum; this provides maximum mechanical efficiency.

FAQS GT Viper Adjustable Large Beam Clamp

What is the GT Viper Adjustable Large Beam Clamp used for, and who is it for?

The GT Viper Adjustable Large Beam Clamp is a heavy-duty mechanical beam clamp for lifting professionals who need a secure attachment point on a suitable structural beam. It is used with compatible lifting and material-handling equipment as part of a planned lifting operation.

Where and when should I use an adjustable beam clamp for lifting?

Use the GT Viper beam clamp where a suitable structural beam can provide the required attachment point for the lifting arrangement. Before use, confirm the beam, clamp, connected equipment and intended load are all suitable; the clamp should be fitted only in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

What beam flange width will the GT Viper Large Beam Clamp fit?

The listed GT Viper Adjustable Large Beam Clamp has a 203–457 mm jaw opening range. Measure the beam flange before ordering and confirm that both the jaw opening and beam are appropriate for the intended lifting operation.

How do I select between the 16 tonne and 20 tonne GT Viper beam clamps?

Select the model by its marked working load limit, not by flange width alone. The listed options are 16,000 kg and 20,000 kg W.L.L.; choose a model that meets or exceeds the intended load and never exceed the marked W.L.L.

Why does the GT Viper clamp use a special jaw design?

The special jaw design applies load away from the beam flange edge, helping to reduce flange stress. Its adjustable jaws allow the clamp to fit across the stated range of suitable beam flange widths.

Does the GT Viper Adjustable Large Beam Clamp meet UK lifting requirements?

The clamp meets the W.L.L. performance requirements of BS EN 13155 and is marked in accordance with BS EN 13155. A 2.1 certificate and Declaration of Conformity are available, with UKCA or CE documentation where required. LOLER and PUWER place duties on employers and users to plan, inspect and use lifting equipment safely; they are not product certifications.
