Drum Lifting Clamps
Each of our drum lifter clamps come fully tested and certified. Our range offers something for every business, from the plant that lifts drums semi-regularly to the plant that lifts them every day and needs a sophisticated barrel lifting clamp that improves productivity. Our most cost-effective solution is a range of drum clamps from acclaimed lifting manufacturer Camlok. These clamps are extremely lightweight and very quick and easy to use. Empty or sealed drums can be lifted with just one clamp; open drums should be lifted with two clamps and a two leg chain sling. Camlok also makes a version that can lift and transport steel drums in the vertical position. This has the added benefit of adjustable arms that can be used with a forklift.
We also supply semi-automatic drum tongs, which allow drums to be lifted from the overhead vertical position slung beneath an overhead crane/hoist hook or a forklift truck with forklift hook required. Our range of drum lifting tongs are available in either 500kg lifting capacity or heavy duty 1,000kg lifting capacity and are suitable for either 210 litre steel drums or 210 litre plastic Mauser drums. This a very safe option as the lifting tongs are simply positioned over the drum before a manual release lever allows for the drum lifting tongs to locate and lock underneath the lip of the drum. This is the ideal choice for when drums are inaccessible for lifting from the side.
Another option is a drum clamp lifting band, which consists of a steel drum girdle and webbing & ratchet strap assembly for safely securing and liftings drums. This drum clamp band is suitable for handling 210 litre steel, plastic and fibre drums up to a weight limit of 360kg. This attachment is particularly useful for drums that are used with liquid bags. Our most sophisticated model is the fully automatic drum lifter tongs. The fully automatic operation of the drum lifting tongs means the whole handling operation can be performed without the forklift operator having to leave the seat of the cab. This in turn can help speed up productivity while reducing downtime.
