Our range of salt spreaders are suitable for spreading seed and fertiliser around your lawn as well as spreading salt for clearing ice. Climate changes has resulted in snow and ice becoming a frequent occurrence during the winter months. At Lifting365 we stock a comprehensive selection of salt spreaders for ensuring roads and paths are kept safe and accessible during icy weather. These are ideal products for gritting and clearing busy areas to prevent accidents. To go with these products we also offer dry rock salt for de-icing roads, drives and paths.
We offer a range of pedestrian push salt material handling spreaders, which are excellent for keeping pathways, walkways and accessways gritted for ice. These all-round grit spreaders feature a three-hole drop mechanism, strong and reliable metal flow control rods along with large 250mm pneumatic tyres. The round hopper with mesh grid reduces clumps and ensures an even spread of your rock salt. The spreaders include a clear rain cover, which enables the spreader to operate well in damp conditions and keeps the grit and salt dry and free-flowing. Our handheld salt spreaders are available in several capacities from 22kg to 59kg.
For faster gritting and larger areas, we also stock hitch-mount salt spreaders. Our 190-litre towable salt spreader is perfect for towing behind vehicles with a standard ball hitch or towing pins. With no electrical or auxiliary connection required, this mechanically driven salt gritter is simple yet effective for all ice gritting applications. Its large capacity will ensure that your premises stays safe and operational throughout the bad weather. The spreader can also be used in the summer months for seed spreading. Features include a loading grid and rain cover, a galvanised actuator that ensures the salt does not clog, and a flow control lever, which allows the operator to control the spread and coverage.
As salt is a corrosive material, it’s important to take good care of your spreader, so it will last for many years. Wash out your spreader after every use (with water and a pressure washer) and allow it to dry. Do not leave salt in the spreader, even for a short period of time. When the bad weather has passed and you’re putting the salt spreader away, make sure it is properly washed and dried and stored somewhere dry until next use. Oil the wheels and lubricate any moving parts so they do not cease as they sit for a year.
As with all products sold by Lifting365, our towable and handheld salt spreaders come fully tested and certified – these are top-quality pieces of equipment.
