- The GT Hand Standard Pallet Truck is a manually operated pallet truck for lifting and moving compatible palletised loads over short distances. It is suitable for regular internal material handling in warehouses, distribution centres, factories, workshops, storage facilities and loading areas. Use the pallet truck to move pallets between storage locations, work areas, loading bays and dispatch points where a straightforward manual handling solution is required. Its standard fork configuration is designed for use with compatible pallets and suitable, level floor surfaces.
Two capacity options are available, allowing you to select the pallet truck according to the loads being handled:
2,500kg capacity
3,000kg capacity
The forks lift from a minimum height of 75mm to a maximum height of 190mm, providing clearance to pick up and transport compatible pallets. The manual steering and pumping operation make it suitable for controlled, short-distance pallet movement where powered handling equipment is not required.

How does the GT Hand Standard Pallet Truck work?
The forks are positioned beneath a compatible pallet and the manually operated lifting mechanism raises the pallet so it can be transported around the workplace. The truck has a stated fork height range of 75mm to 190mm, which should be considered when checking pallet compatibility and handling requirements.
When should I choose a standard hand pallet truck instead of a long reach pallet truck?
When should I choose a standard hand pallet truck instead of a long reach pallet truck?
A standard hand pallet truck is suitable when its fork configuration provides appropriate support for the pallet being moved. A long reach pallet truck may be more suitable for longer or non-standard palletised loads that require extended fork support. The correct choice depends on the pallet dimensions and intended handling application.
What UK safety legislation applies to hand pallet trucks?
What UK safety legislation applies to hand pallet trucks?
Hand pallet trucks used as work equipment in the UK should be suitable for their intended task and maintained in a safe condition. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) may apply to their use at work. PUWER is UK workplace safety legislation, not a product certification. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, ensure the pallet truck is suitable for the load and working environment, and do not exceed its stated capacity.
