GT Alloy Steel Swivel Hook with Safety Catch

It is an AHS-series hook made from quenched and tempered alloy steel, with a safety catch and red painted finish. The manufacturer lists working load limit options from 1 to 11 tonnes.

It should be selected and used by people competent in lifting operations. The hook’s marked working load limit, dimensions and compatibility must suit the complete lifting arrangement.

It can be fitted within a compatible lifting arrangement as directed by the manufacturer. Check the attachment dimensions before selection, and do not use it where rotation under load is required.

The hook does not swivel under load. Only reposition it when unloaded and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

The minimum breaking load describes the stated breaking-load margin. It is not the hook’s operating capacity and must never be used as permission to exceed its marked working load limit.

Check the GT AHS Swivel Hook’s identification and WLL markings against the manufacturer’s instructions and supplied documentation. A 2.1 certificate and Declaration of Conformity are available; review the Declaration for the legislation stated by the manufacturer. Markings and certificates alone do not establish that your lifting operation meets all applicable UK requirements. Ask a competent person to assess the hook’s suitability, inspection arrangements and intended use before lifting.
