FAQS ABOUT Tractel Corso Push Trolley

What is the Tractel Corso Push Trolley used for?

The Tractel Corso Push Trolley is a manual push beam trolley that creates a movable suspension and anchor point for lifting equipment on steel beams. It is designed for construction, engineering, maintenance, industrial and material-handling users who need to move compatible lifting equipment along a beam for lifting, load positioning or handling.

How do I choose the correct Tractel Corso Push Trolley?

Choose the Tractel Corso according to the required Working Load Limit (WLL) and the supporting steel beam's flange width. The range covers 250 kg to 20,000 kg WLL, with compatible beam widths varying by model from 45 mm to 320 mm. Check the actual beam dimensions and required load against the exact model specification before purchasing, and never exceed the trolley's WLL.

Can the Tractel Corso Push Trolley be used on straight and sloping beam flanges?

Yes. The Corso is designed for steel beams with straight or sloping flanges, with its opening manually adjusted to suit the beam profile. The selected model must still accommodate the supporting beam's flange width and be suitable for the required load.

Where and when should I use a Tractel Corso Push Trolley?

The Corso is suitable for construction sites, engineering facilities, workshops, maintenance environments and industrial applications where a manually movable lifting point is required. It is useful when compatible lifting equipment needs to be repositioned along a steel beam rather than suspended from a fixed point.

What lifting equipment is compatible with the Tractel Corso?

The Corso provides a suspension point for compatible lifting equipment including Tirfor, Bravo, Tralift and Minifor. The suspended lifting equipment can then travel manually along the supporting steel beam. The specific trolley, lifting equipment, beam dimensions and WLL must be suitable for the complete lifting arrangement.

What UK regulations and standards apply to the Tractel Corso Push Trolley?

For workplace lifting operations in Great Britain, applicable LOLER 1998 requirements cover the safe use and thorough examination of lifting equipment, while PUWER 1998 covers relevant work-equipment requirements. These are workplace legal requirements, not product certifications or markings. Tractel states that the Corso is in accordance with the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The trolley must be selected and used according to its WLL, beam compatibility and manufacturer's instructions.
