Ideal for lifting extra-long loads, our forklift jib extenders are available in a range of capacities. These extending forklift jibs have the same characteristics as our low liner forklift jib, but with the added benefit of a manually extendable arm, giving an overall lifting reach of 3,000mm (2,000mm when closed). This allows loads to be picked up from greater distances, therefore reducing handling costs.
Forklift Crane Jib Extenders
This inexpensive jib gives longer reach capabilities for picking up a product that is difficult to palletise. It also incorporates a mechanically extending inner section for extra reach. The jib also comes with a multitude of different lifting positions on the underside, which allows complete flexibility when it comes to handling loads at different lengths. Two hooks and shackles are supplied, and these can be moved to any of the 11 suitable lifting positions. A low-profile design allows for better access into areas where space is limited, helping to reduce manual material handling and any subsequent risk of injury.
In addition, the long jib arm can reach otherwise inaccessible places, for instance, machinery motors, helping to reduce factory maintenance costs. Heel retaining pins allow the jib to be safely secured to the forklift truck. Large fork pockets allow for instant drive-in fitting, making the jib quick and simple to fit and remove from lift truck. Little training is needed for the forklift truck operator. A lifting chart supplied on the jib also provides all the information required to ensure the jib is not used beyond the limits of the forklift truck’s capacity.
Our forklift crane jib extenders are available in a variety of capacities, ranging from 210kg to 500kg. The lifting capacity of the jib extender is based on the forklift truck’s own capacity, therefore ensuring the jib can be operated risk free within the safety limits of the forklift truck. This also reduces wear and tear on the truck. All of our extending forklift jibs come CE marked and supplied with a certificate of conformity with health and safety regulations.
Our jibs are high quality and best in class, and require little maintenance as there are very few moving parts. It’s important to store them correctly and regularly check for any damage, especially at critical points. It is also important to check any hooks or shackles for any normal wear and tear, and to ensure that the forks are not worn or damage.
