Our regular forklift skip bins are manufactured in a high-quality 3mm thick steel body and heavy duty under frame, making it suitable for the gathering and disposal of everyday business waste.
Our heavy duty skips feature a 5mm thick steel body, ideal for more vigorous jobs and workplaces. If your worksite is a quarry, scrap yard, construction site, building site or steel fabricators, a heavy duty tipping skip offers greater strength than the standard type when dealing with large and heavy items of waste, debris and materials. Whatever you choose, both our tipping skips should give years of great service once used and maintained correctly.
Emptying of the skip's contents is carried out by a simple-to-operate release mechanism, which when activated, allows the tip skip to roll forward and empty. Other features include full width release handles to eliminate the need to have to lean in between the skip and the truck mast for tipping. In addition, twin locking mechanisms ensure safe locking when skips are loaded unevenly. Safety security chains ensure skips are safely retained to the lift truck without risk of slipping off the truck forks.
Both our regular and our heavy duty tipping skips are available in five different colours – yellow, blue, green, red and white – enabling you to categorise your waste. There is also the option to add castors so your skip is easier to move around without having to use the forklift every time. If you choose to add castors, your forklift and telehandler tipping skip will come supplied with two front fixed castors and two rear braked swivel castors.
Castors may not suit every workplace; they must be used on a flat ground surface, so using outdoors where there are pebbles or rocks may not work. Both of our tipping skips boast future-proof features. Pull cord fixing points to both left and right hand sides allows for easy retro fitment if required. In addition, bolted tipping handle assembly allows easy replacement if required (no welding required). Like all our lifting gear and forklift accessories, our tipping skips are fully tested and certified to meet health and safety regulations.
